What is Documentary Style Photography?

Documentary style photography is about capturing the candid beauty of your event in a natural and unobtrusive way, with the goal of artistically telling the real story of your wedding day.

This means moving beyond pretending and posing, in pursuit of authentic and one of a kind. Outside of group and couple portraits, I will document these intimate, hilarious, touching and joyful moments as they naturally unfold, to create photos that are genuine and stand the test of time.

A Bit About Who I Am and What Inspires Me

My name is Jette. I’m a classically trained photographer from Erfurt, Germany. I did my undergraduate at Bauhaus University and Pratt Institute and earned my Master’s degree in Art Photography from Folkwang University.

I’m fun, easy going, direct and passionate about the love that unites couples. I love trees, my crazy nieces and nephews, having beers with friends, and I’m recently engaged myself!

Outside of weddings, I’m an artist who has had over 30 exhibitions around Europe. My artistic training always guides my work, and I am so grateful to get to apply my expertise to weddings.
